What States Honor the Utah Concealed Carry Permit?

Know Before You Go!

If you own a firearm and are traveling across state lines, it’s imperative you perform a little due diligence on where you are legally allowed to carry a weapon if you are a non-resident of that state.

There are 36 states that honor a Utah concealed carry permit.

Resident:

Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, Arizona, Colorado, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Vermont, Washington, Wisconsin, West Virginia, Wyoming

In addition, some states also require that you verbally announce you are carrying a firearm when confronted by a Law Enforcement Official for any reason such as in a traffic stop. To keep yourself aware of the various laws, we recommend calling your attorney at US Law Shield to get the requirements before you travel.

To make sure you are abreast of Virginia’s state laws and regulations, attend a Gun Law Seminar near you! You can also download a state pistol permit guide, handbook, or app for the state or states you are traveling to.

You will then need to print a state carry card to take with you as well.
